Digital Book Refund and Update Policy
Version GNU-DIGITAL-REFUNDS-1.0 · India-only digital publication sales (PDF/EPUB).
Seller: Gnu IT Solutions and Services Pvt. Ltd., publishing under the GNU Group brand. Nothing in this policy limits non-waivable consumer rights under applicable Indian law.
1. Change-of-mind purchases
Digital editions can be accessed and retained immediately. Once access to the correctly described, functioning purchased edition has been provided, we do not ordinarily offer discretionary cancellations or refunds for change of mind, reading-style preference, or an accidental purchase. We will nevertheless review exceptional circumstances and any remedy required by applicable law.
2. Circumstances eligible for review and remedy
Please contact us if you were charged twice for one order, received the wrong edition, paid successfully but could not obtain access, received a corrupt/unusable PDF or EPUB, or received content materially different from its advertised description. We will investigate and, as appropriate, correct the problem, provide a working replacement, refund a duplicate/excess charge, or offer another remedy including a refund where required by law.
3. Requesting help or a refund
Contact GNU Group through the published contact channel with your order reference, purchase email, a description of the problem and relevant error details. Do not send card numbers, passwords or one-time passcodes. Requests are assessed using the order record, delivery/access records and applicable consumer law. Complaints will be acknowledged and addressed within the timeframes required by applicable law.
4. Approved refunds and access
When a refund is approved, it will be processed through the available payment-provider route as appropriate. Actual credit timing may depend on your bank or payment provider, subject to applicable requirements. Following a full refund, further download access is revoked. A downloaded copy cannot be remotely deleted and remains subject to the applicable licence restrictions.
5. Corrections, updates and new editions
Errata and minor corrections within the purchased edition are generally supplied without an additional book fee. A substantially revised new edition may be offered for a separate price. Temporary link expiry does not, by itself, terminate the purchased licence; eligible buyers can request access again through My Books.
6. Consumer rights
This policy applies alongside the Individual Digital Book Licence and Book Purchase Privacy Notice. It does not exclude remedies for defective, deficient, materially misdescribed or undelivered goods or services where applicable law requires them. Please use GNU Group's published complaint-handling contact details to escalate unresolved matters.
